Hooton station is located on Merseyrail's "Wirral Line" along the branch that runs from Liverpool Central to Ellesmere Port and Chester. The station sits between Eastham Rake station and Capenhurst station (trains to Chester) and Little Sutton station (trains to Ellesemere Port).
