Avis Scott as Nora McCabe and Richard Burton as Ben Satterthwaite in Waterfront(1950) [copyright unknown]"Waterfront", otherwise known as "Waterfront Women" was made in 1950 but is set in Liverpool during the period 1919 to 1933. It was made in the days when movie actors were still not allowed to have Liverpool accents but is still in general a good film. There are a number of good location shots including The Overhead Railway, the docks and Pier Head plus a scene inside tram car number 705.

Scene on Tram Car 705 in Waterfront(1950) [copyright unknown]There is also a scene inside the Empire Theatre featuring a Florrie Forde song :- "Has Anybody Here Seen Kelly".   Florrie herself had already died in 1950 (but had been alive during the period the film was set in). Florrie Forde's part may be being played by Hattie Jacques as she is credited in having a part in the film as a "singer".   Kathleen Harrison plays one of the main parts and the film also includes a young Richard Burton when he was considered a supporting actor.
