"Dangerous Youth" which is also known as "These Dangerous Years" is set in 1950s Liverpool and the story centres on a gang from Dingle known as "The Dingle Boys" who spend time on the Cast Iron Shore ("The Cassy"). The gang's leader is Frankie Vaughan as "Dave Wyman" and it's members also include Kenneth Cope as "Juggler Dodds". Dave wins a local talent contest singing his rock-n-roll song but soon after he and another gang member are called-up in to the army to do their national service. While in the army, Dave gets caught up in some deaths and though not guilty, decides to run away and return to Dingle. Daves girlfriend is Dinah Brown played by Carole Lesley. She takes a job in a Lime Street coffee shop after dreams of getting in to show business come to nothing.
