Croxteth is located north-east of the city centre in the Liverpool 12 area.

Croxteth Hall was a great cultural centre in the 18th century and exercised great influence on Liverpool. The hall was originally acquired in the reign of Henry VI when Richard Molyneux was steward of the manor. Later, about 1548 it became one of the families principal residences.
