All Hallows Church at AllertonAllerton became part of the City of Liverpool in 1913. It is located south-east of the city centre and forms part of Liverpool 18.

Allerton was once the home of many of Liverpool's Jewish families whose businesses were around the Islington area of the city.

William Roscoe lived at Allerton Hall during a period in the ealy 19th century when he was an MP and voting for abolition of the Slave Trade. His father is also reputed to have been a butler at the hall prior to then.
