In the name of God Amen the last will and testament of Patrick Halsal who departed this life about the 4th of January 1797 being of perfect mind and memory at the making thereof.

 

First he commited his soul to God and his body to Christian Burial.

 

He left and bequeathed to his daughter Margt. Quine the sum of one pound four shillings and six pence.

 

He left and bequeathed to his son in law Wm. Quine his Great Coat.

 

He left and bequeathed to his Grand daughter Christian Quine the sum of fourteen pounds.

 

He left and bequeathed to his Grand daughter Ann Quine the sum of one pound four shillings and six pence.

 

He left and bequeathed to his Grand daughter Isable Quine the sum of one pound four shillings and six pence.

 

He left and bequeathed to his Grand son Tho. Quine of Braddon the sum five shillings & ten pence.

 

He left and bequeathed to his daughter Catherin Quilliam & his Grand daughter Christian Quine all his part of the sheep between them.

 

He demised and bequeathed to his beloved wife all his rights and title in the Cool Curraugh commonly called by the name of Cross Meaddow in KK German.

 

He left and bequeathed to his wittness’ one shilling Brittish Each of them.

 

Lastley he nominated and appointed his wife whole and sole Execr. of all the rest of his Goods moveable and Immoveable of what nature or kind so ever cutting of all that can lay claim to any of his Goods with sixpence Legacy each and this he certify to be his last will and Testament before us

We John Quilliam husband of Catherine Quilliam, James Kennagh husband of Christian Quine, Isabel Quine, being entitled to several legacies by the last will and testament of Patrick Halsal, do each of us hereby acknowledge to be firstly fair & satisfied the several legacies bequeathed unto each of us respectively & we do each of us hereby acquire ???? & discharge the Exec of the last will & testament of the sd. Patrick Halsal of all claims & demands on each of our respective legacies witness our marks to our names this 21st of June 1802
